STIHL has been leading the way in outdoor power equipment for over 40 years in New Zealand and over 90 years worldwide. STIHL has over 100 stores nationwide and now is your chance to become part of their success story as they continue to grow.
Working alongside the Product Manager, we are excited to announce that we are in expansion mode and looking to recruit an additional Product Trainer to the team. You will focus on designing, coordinating, and facilitating product training for the STIHL Dealers, account holders, and internal teams. You’ll also create content in a range of different formats (visual, theoretical, video) to be uploaded to our STIHL Training Platform.
A key component of this role is the hands-on delivery of training which will see you out on the road delivering training or attending events. This can be time-intensive, especially over the stores' quieter season (winter) and you’ll be required to travel up to 50% of your time. We need someone who will be able to commit to this.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Creative flair with an eye for detail (if you have video and editing skills, even better!)
- Passion and enthusiasm for STIHL products and delivering training on our range of products
- Proven aptitude in using computer systems
- A natural ability to translate technical information into easily-understood language
- Experience using an e-learning system will be well regarded
If you are a tradesperson, keen to get off the tools and help train others to become specialists, then we would love to hear from you, better yet if you have STIHL-specific product experience!
It goes without saying that you’ll be proactive and a great organiser with strong time management skills, when it comes to managing your calendar and organising events you’ll have it covered!
You’ll be self-managing with the ability to work autonomously while also collaborating with others. Ultimately, you’ll foster strong long-term relationships with a wide range of people, be open and honest, and aim to support our network as best you can to achieve quality outcomes.
We’re open to considering candidates from a range of backgrounds, you may be a time-served technician who has great interpersonal and presentation skills, have come from a product role or you may have a learning and development background with a strong interest in our products.
What’s in it for you?
