We are currently looking for our next Trade Sales Consultant to join our humming trade team at our Ellerslie store in a full time, permanent position.
Our Ellerslie branch operates 7 days a week, however in this role you’ll be required to work on a Tuesday to Saturday basis. If you like to work a little differently with your work week, then this will suit you to a tee!
About you:
You love the customer interaction, have the gift of the gab and enjoy helping our customers find the best solutions. You’ll be able to relate to people from all walks of life as you’ll interact with DIY home renovators and Tradie’s. It can get busy, and you need to think on your feet, so resilience is key! But we are all here to support your journey.
With training and time, you’ll be able to provide recommendations of products, upsell and cross-sell. We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn, isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty and enjoys a variety of work.
This role plays an important part in ensuring that our trade operation runs smoothly. As well as helping customers, you will also ensure that the trade area is looking sharp with our extensive product range and will also be responsible for ordering stock and receiving inwards goods which need to be stored in a safe and logical way. Problem solving skills will be required.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Great communication skills as you’ll be talking to customers all day long!
- To be physically fit. You’ll need to be able to lift 25kgs plus and have the stamina to do it over and over again.
- Have sound computer skills
- A forklift licence or be prepared to get one
- A trade/sales background would be an advantage however is not essential
