The Role
Due to the team growing, and the need for continuing innovation, we’re on the lookout for a Product Design Engineer to join this amazing global organisation! This is an exciting time as they embark on a journey of change, with the goal of bringing new ideas to market delivering true value to their customers, whether it’s for their homes or workplace, and ensuring the development of sustainable innovations are ongoing with the environment at the front of mind.
About you
As the newest Product Design Engineer, you will report into the R&D Manager with the goal to design and deliver products that offer customer groups state of the art solutions, utilising the latest technologies focusing on reducing emissions and increasing efficiencies. A typical day, week or month will see you solving problems, creating solutions and getting your hands dirty pulling apart and putting together our products, to ensure they remain fit for purpose, and where technological changes allow, are enhanced for the future.
You will collaborate closely within a small team of engineers and partner with manufacturing, marketing, and operations to ensure ideas translate into real products that are delivered to market and meets the highest safety standards. Where applicable, you will also ensure compliance through our laboratory partners, across the globe.
You hold a relevant qualification in engineering or similar, preferably in mechatronics or mechanical, and have gained a minimum of 3 years’ experience that includes work across both design, creation, refurbishment, and enhancement. You are adept at preparing detailed engineering designs/documentation, have great communication and relationship skills, a multitasker who has hands-on experience in systems such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD or similar, and SAP or MRP system skills would also be an advantage. Finally, you love what you do!
