They are seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Sales Person for our Mt. Albert location. The Mt Albert store has been operating for some time, but is ready for growth, ideas and innovations, to see it through its next stage, reaching its potential it deserves. With the right person and implementation of effective processes, this business can thrive. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in this, tapping into the vast commercial and residential opportunities that await.

About the role
This Sales position is geared towards spearheading sales efforts—a pivotal driver of both sales growth and customer satisfaction. While experience in a similar role is advantageous, what truly matters is your ability to cultivate connections with individuals across all levels. Given that our store operates on weekends, flexibility in scheduling is a must.
As an integral member of our retail team, your responsibilities will extend to selling a variety of equipment, including Chainsaws, Line-trimmers, Brush-cutters, Lawnmowers, Hedge-trimmers, Generators, Pressure cleaners (electric & petrol), Concrete Saws, Post Hole Borers, Sprayers, Blowers, Ride-on lawnmowers, garden hand tools, water pumps, & chipper shredders. Additionally, you will:
- Ensuring the attainment of store sales targets while maintaining seamless operation of systems and processes.
- Prepare and demonstrate product functionality prior to sale, such as starting chainsaws or lawnmowers to showcase basic operations.
- Customize product offerings to meet individual customer requirements.
- Aid in the loading and unloading of vehicles, including assisting customers with equipment loading and unloading.
- Maintain cleanliness and organize shelves and retail displays as needed.
- Handle incoming phone calls and address customer inquiries promptly.
- Providing excellent customer service.
About you:
We're seeking a candidate with a blend of sales and retail operational expertise. While experience with STIHL products is advantageous, it's not a requirement as training will be provided. The successful candidate will be someone with a proactive attitude, a drive to make a difference, and the ability to work well within a team. Resilience is key; you’re tenacious and will thrive in a busy, varied, and fast-paced environment.
