- Full-time permanent role (minimum 40 hours per week)
- $38.00 - $44.00 per hour

ElectriNet, part of Horizon Services Limited, is a leading provider of electricity distribution services in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Due to ongoing demand, we are seeking an experienced Faultsman to join our growing team.
About the Role
As a Faultman, you will play a key role in the operation, restoration, and maintenance of 400V, 11kV, 33kV, and 50kV overhead lines, underground cables, and associated network equipment. You will work within a skilled team to respond to faults, conduct repairs, and support critical maintenance activities to ensure reliable power distribution to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and replace faulty electrical distribution components
- Perform emergency response and reactive maintenance on the network
- Conduct switching operations as per control room instructions
- Test lines, circuits, and underground cables
- Climb and work on electricity network structures safely
- Joint overhead conductors and replace service pillars
- Ensure accurate job completion records, including photos and asset details
- Follow strict Health & Safety protocols in all work activities
Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- New Zealand Certificate in Electricity Supply (Line Mechanic Distribution) – Level 4 (or overseas equivalent)
- EWRB NZ Electrical Practicing Licence or willing to obtain once in country
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in electricity distribution
- Knowledge of distribution systems and procedures up to 33kV
- Valid NZ Class 1 driver’s license (Heavy Traffic preferred) (or equivalent international licence that can be converted)
Desirable but not essential:
- NZ Certificate in Fault Response & Switching – Level 4 (or overseas equivalent)
- Familiarity with tree compliance regulations
- Training in Elevated Work Platforms (EWP)
