Design Estimator - North Island

Are you a sharp thinker with a knack for design and an eye for precision? Our client is expanding their North Island operations and is on the lookout for a seasoned Design Estimator ready to step into a role where engineering insight meets real-world impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be a trusted part of the programme team, helping to shape the electrical landscape by:
- Crafting smart, purpose-built designs for overhead and underground networks
- Selecting electrical and mechanical components that match design intent and installation needs
- Scoping out project pricing that balances accuracy with value
- Partnering with Project Managers to drive efficient delivery
- Making site visits and working with contractors to keep plans aligned and expectations exceeded
- Enhancing customer satisfaction through timely, thoughtful design solutions
- Supporting safety standards and meeting regulatory requirements
Who You Are
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- At least 3 years of experience in design estimation or a related field
- Ideally, a Diploma in Electrical Engineering
- A structured approach with solid analytical chops
- The ability to break down complex plans and specifications
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Catan, and other design platforms
- Comfort with crunching numbers and solving problems
- A genuine interest in how power networks operate behind the scenes
