Are you a driven and ambitious business development professional passionate about building and maintaining strong client relationships, and developing new business? Austco Services are hiring for a Business Development Manager for their Victoria region.
This role will be based out of Austco's Melbourne office, but we would expect 60-70% travel across Victoria to clients.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining relationships with existing key accounts but will also heavily involve hunting and building new business.
We're looking for a commercially minded business hunter who knows how to win work and build relationships that last.
This role exists because new business matters to us, a lot. The right person in this seat will influence a meaningful portion of our revenue and the future shape of the business.

What this role is really about
You’ll be responsible for originating and winning new business across Victoria primarily in healthcare, infrastructure, and large complex environments, where security and safety, are paramount.
This isn’t transactional selling. Our sales cycles can be as short as a week or 1-2 years depending on the project. The work is high-value, high-trust, and technically sophisticated.
If you build the relationship, you keep it. We don’t believe in handing clients off once the deal is done. Continuity matters to us and to our customers.
You’ll be trusted to:
Build and own a multi-million-dollar pipeline
Lead opportunities from first conversation through to close
Represent us at an executive level with credibility and professionalism
Work closely with our delivery and leadership teams to win the right work, not just any work
You will be the face of our business to some of our most valued clients
Who will do well here
You’re already a strong business developer, probably in security, technology, or a technical solutions environment, and you know what it takes to open doors and earn trust. You don’t wait for the leads to come in, you hunt them.

Are commercially sharp and comfortable with accountability
Don’t need to be micromanaged
Ask good questions and listen carefully
Have technical know-how – but don’t worry, our technical experts will help you come up to speed, and partner with you to sell solutions!
